1935 Ford Numbers
Australia saw the manufacture of 4,183 units for 1933, 7,477 units for
1934 and 9,926 units for 1935. The greater population of the USA saw
334,969 units for 1933, 563,921 units for 1934 and 942,439 units for
1935.

 On
the assembly line in the USA, 1935. Standard (unpainted) grilles
coming in for fitting to the radiator and chassis, next came the
fenders, then the body drop. Ford hadn't offered painted grilles
in 1933 and 1934, but adopted them in 1935 for commercial vehicles
and cheaper models. |

These figures vividly demonstrate the massive increase
in sales for 1935, due to the easing of the crippling Depression that
had encompassed the world as a whole.
These figures also highlighted the fact that there must be many 1935
Ford vehicles out there in need of a better grille, this will now be
relieved by Chris Nihill and his new reproduction unit.
In conclusion, the three of us were quite excited with the fit and final
look of the reproduction 1935 grille and agreed that it would be difficult
to detect the difference when mounted on a vehicle.
Look for these grilles in the near future as they should release a lot
of 1935 Fords from their resting place in storage, wherever they are.
